The first of a series of lectures on International Polity will be given by Mr. Norman Angell this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in Emerson D. Mr. Angell will speak upon "The Foundations of International Polity." His well-known book, "The Great Illusion," is a study of the relation of military power to national welfare, and his lecture will touch upon some of the advanced doctrines of modern international theory which have given this work its deep influence upon European thought. His experience in America, England and France led him to write several books, the first, "Patriotism Under Three Flags," was followed by "Arms and Industry," "The Citizen and Society," and other works in the field of international politics and relations. The lecture is given under the auspices of the International Polity Federation, composed of eight Harvard clubs, and is open to all members of the University.
