TECHNICAL JOURNALS COMBINE

Technology Monthly and Harvard Engineering Journal Unite.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Plans for further undergraduate co-operation between the University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have been completed, and the formal sanction of the Harvard Association of Engineers is all that remains in the way of the union between the Harvard Engineering Journal and the Technology Monthly.

It is expected that the first issue of the combined magazine will come in May, the April numbers being the final appearance of the Harvard Engineering Journal and the Technology Monthly as such. The present subject matter of the two papers will in no way be stinted by the combination. The new magazine will include news of the various Harvard engineering societies and organizations, the reports of the Association of Harvard Engineers, complete alumni notes of both the University and the Institute, articles on subjects of mutual current interest, and discussions of engineering and scientific subjects by Harvard and Technology alumni and others prominent in the engineering field. Regular subscribers to the Monthly or the Journal will receive the new paper every month, beginning with May, until the expiration of their subscriptions. In April copies of both magazines will be sent to all subscribers.

It is hoped by the editors that such a combination of the journals of the two institutions may, by keeping each school closely in touch with the activities of the other, promote in both Harvard and Technology men that spirit of co-operation and community of interest so necessary to the successful merger of the University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
