Congratulations are due Captain Barron and the members of the University and Freshman track teams who competed in the annual B. A. A. Meet last Saturday night. The Freshman relay four did well in beating the fast Yale 1917 team, thereby predicting good competition in the sprints in the spring dual meet. Yale was also defeated by the University long-distance relay team, which established a new dual record for the 3120 yards. But it fell to the lot of the University 390-yard team to enjoy the unique distinction of being world's champions for an hour, inasmuch as it held during that time the record for the 1560-yard relay. The work of the B. A. A. team in taking it from them makes one lament the fact that in competitions between the two, accidents have marred a satisfactory decision.
