The first of a series of open meetings for the discussion of outside affairs will be held in the Speakers' Club this evening at 7.30 o'clock. Similar meetings will take place every other week until the April recess.
As an introduction to the discussion, Mr. John B. Kline '03 of the editorial staff of the Boston Transcript will give a review of the principal events of national and international interest during the past few months. Following Mr. Kline's talk will be a general discussion of suggested and related topics, which will be the most important part of the program. This discussion will probably be focused upon the Mexican situation, but other subjects of interest will also be given a hearing. In addition to extending one's knowledge of current events, it will offer an opportunity for training in extemporaneous speaking.
These meetings will in no way affect the holding of the University Forums, which will be continued this year as last for the discussion of undergraduate questions. It is planned to hold the first Forum sometime next week.
