TENNIS TEAM AT LONGWOOD

The University and second tennis teams will play the Long wood Tennis Club at Chestnut Hill this afternoon at 3 o'clock. This will probably be one of the hardest matches of the season as the Club numbers several stars among its players.

The first team will be composed of the following men: R. N. Williams, 2nd, '16, J. J. Armstrong '14, E. H. Whitney '14, W. M. Washburn '15, E. R. Hastings '14, and E. H. Woods. The second team will include the following players: J. C. Devereux '14, O. Williams '14, L. Curtis '16, F. Hyde '16, D. B. Buffum '14, T. J. D. Fuller '15, H. Wainwright '15, W. Faulkner '14, and R. H. Kettell '14.

The Freshman tennis team defeated Dartmouth 1917 yesterday at Jarvis Field, winning all six matches. The scores were as follows: Singles--Brown defeated Koeneger, 4-6, 9-7, 6-3; Morgan defeated Adams, 6-3, 6-3; Gale defeated Fritz, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2; Rand defeated Cheney, 6-2, 6-3. Doubles--Morgan and Crane defeated Fritz and Adams, 6-4, 6-3; Brown and Rand defeated Koeneger and Cheney, 6-8, 6-3, 6-3. The Freshmen will play Exeter at Exeter this afternoon.

Entries for the College tennis tournament in doubles should be made in the Bluebook at Leavitt and Peirce's before 6 o'clock on Saturday. Members of all four classes in College may compete. An entrance fee of $1 per pair will be charged.
