YALE DAILY NEWS HAS MOVED INTO LARGER HEADQUARTERS

New and Well-Equipped Offices Centrally Located in Basement of Fayer-Weather Hall.

The Yale Daily News is now established in its new offices in the basement of Fayerweather Hall. For some time the need of more spacious quarters has been felt, and especially at the beginning of a fall competition, when the small "heelers" room was always overcrowded.

The entrance to the new offices is on University Avenue, just around the corner and back of Yale Station. University Avenue, which is the main in thorough fare between Academic and Sheffield, offers a location equally accessible to both the college and scientific departments.

The editorial room, which is on the right side of the main entrance, is about 35 feet long and 25 feet wide. The assignment editor's desk and table are separated from the rest of the room by an oak railing. The opposite corner of the room is partitioned off with glass to form the managing editor's office. The night editor's desk is in the centre of the editorial office.

The business office, about the same size as the editing room, opens out from it. The business manager's and stenographer's desks are on the east side of the room, and on the west side is the circulation manager's desk, and the filing racks in which the subscribers' names are kept. One corner of the business office is partitioned off with glass to form a private office for the chairman.

The "heelers" room is a marked improvement over the old one. It is large and well lighted and on the left of the entrance. Reporters tables are built in around the sides of the room, with stationary chairs and drop-lights. Outside this room, telephone communication for the use of the candidates is installed through the university telephone exchange.
