ON TO THE ARENA!

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tonight the Freshman hockey contest with Yale 1918 will be played in the Arena. This not only means that the metal of the Freshman seven will be thoroughly tested, but that the spirit of the class is, so to speak, on trial. The plea for organized cheering and support of hockey teams is almost as much of a bromide as that entitled "more Freshman managers needed," and it is well known that undergraduate ardor is easily cooled by the chill atmosphere of the Arena. Be that as it may, there is such a thing as breaking traditions, even bad ones, and the brandishing of sticks over the vanquished gladiators of the skate in the Arena will not go forth half so merrily as it should if the two sections reserved for 1918 are not filled tonight. A class cherishes no memory so eagerly as that of a victory which it helped its team to win. Win or lose, no Freshman will regret that he answered the cry, "On to the Arena."
