COACH MITCHELL AT PRACTICE

Finish of Braves' Season Permits His Return to Direct Fall Work.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday Coach Mitchell directed baseball practice for the first time this fall. He will remain with the squad until the end of the fall season. After preliminary batting and fielding work Captain Abbot picked two teams. A game between these combinations was played on the University diamond, the remainder of the players withdrawing to the Freshman diamond. Coach Mitchell tried out several pitchers and made frequent substitutions in both teams.

A cut in the squad is to be made next week, but there will be no practice Monday.
