Captain Ian Hay Beith, British soldier and author of the "First Hundred Thousand," will lecture at Sanders Theatre next Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Tickets at one dollar apiece may be obtained at Amee's Bookstore. The proceeds of the lecture will go to the Cambridge Surgical Dressing Committee, which makes supplies for the use of the Harvard Surgical Unit in northern France.
Captain Beith, or Ian Hay as the literary world knows him, was sent to the front with the "first hundred thousand." His bravery won him many promotions, and he finally received the rank of captain. He is now on a furlough and has been sent to this country by the British government to explain England's position in the war.
