The competition for the open position on the CRIMSON business staff for the class of 1918 will start on Wednesday evening. At this time all candidates should report at the CRIMSON office at 7 o'clock. The work required will consist largely in soliciting advertisements under the supervision of the business manager, but general business efficiency will be considered in the selection of the new editor. The competition is hard but short and furnishes excellent business training.
This is the first time that the CRIMSON has taken on three men from the same class to the staff. The candidate who attains to this editorship will be made an assistant business manager in his Junior year and will then compete with the other two assistant managers for the managership. This is a good chance for all members of the class of 1918 to gain a good business experience and at the same time become better acquainted with the University and students.
