UNIVERSITY SEVEN WORSTED B.A.A.

Boston Team Defeated by 4 Goals to 0 in Fast Practice Game.

Twenty minutes of fast scrimmaging gave the University hockey team a 4 to 0 victory over the B. A. A. seven in practice at the Arena yesterday afternoon. An improvement was noticeable in the work of the wings, and also in the shooting, for accurate shooting was the rule especially in the preliminary work-out, as well as during the scrimmage.

The University seven forced the playing for the first few minutes, although Huntington made several dangerous rushes. Then for a while the B. A. A. players took the aggressive, and only some clever work by Wylde at goal prevented a score. Percy broke away soon after this, and had a clear shot at the goal, but Donahue made a pretty stop, and Rice played the puck in from the side a minute later, scoring the first goal. Thacher tallied from a mix-up near the cage a few minutes later, and Baldwin did the same almost immediately afterwards. The final goal came after a particularly pretty piece of team-work by the strong second-string forward line. The whole line broke away with W. Morgan carrying the puck. Morgan passed to Fisher, who drew Donahue out of the cage and then passed over to Baldwin, giving the latter a clear shot for the fourth goal.

Substitutions strengthened the B. A. A. line during the last few minutes of play, but Abbott prevented any further scoring with a number of good stops.

The teams lined up as follows: HARVARD.  B. A. A. Rice, W. Morgan, l.w.  r.w., Jones Baker, Baldwin, l.c.  r.c., Hagan Percy, Fisher, r.c.  l.c., Hutchinson Thacher, Taylor, r.w.  l.w., Sands Doty, Eckfeldt, c.p.  c.p., Huntington J. Morgan, Clark, p.  p., Stearns Wylde, Abbott, g.  g., Donahue
