UNIVERSITY CREWS ON WATER

First Two Boats Had First Outdoor Workout at Lynn Yesterday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University crews had their first work-out on the water at the Farragut Boat Club, Lynn, yesterday afternoon. This is the latest date in the history of University rowing for getting outdoors. The water was exceptionally smooth yesterday, and although there was a slight breeze, it made no material difference. Both A and B rowed for about 45 minutes, setting out with a slow stroke. Coaches Herrick and Haines directed the practice. If weather conditions permit, practice for these first two crews will be held outdoors today.

All other crews had their usual work-out on the machines and in the tank. Assistant Coach Brown, A. Beane '11, and B. Harwood '15 supervised the practice at Newell Boat House. There were no changes of importance.

The present order of University A and B is as follows:

University A.--Stroke, C. C. Lund '16; 7, H. B. Cabot, Jr., '17; 6, D. P. Morgan '16; 5, T. E. Stebbins '17; 4, M. Taylor '18; 3, J. Talcott, Jr., '16; 2, K. B. G. Parson '16; bow, A. Potter '17; cox, H. L. F. Kreger '16.

University B.--Stroke, J. C. White, 2d, 17; 7, H. A. Quimby '18; 6, H. S. Middendorf '16; 5, J. W. Middendorf '16; 4, A. W. Pope '18; 3, E. W. Soucy '16; 2, F. W. Busk '16; bow, N. Brazer '18; cox, A. A. Cameron '17.
