NUMBER OF NEWLY DESIGNATED POSITIONS TOTALS 49.--LEAVES OF ABSENCE GRANTED, PRIZE AWARDS MADE AND RESIGNATIONS ACCEPTED.

At the meeting of the Corporation held last Monday, October 8, 49 appointments were made, 19 resignations accepted, 5 leaves of absence granted, and 7 prize awards made. Details of what was done at the meeting appear below.

Leave of absence for the year 1917-18 was granted to the following: Professor Felix Frankfurther, L. L. B., '06, Assistant Professor Melvin T. Copeland, A. M., '07, Assistant Professor Alfred M. Tozzer '00, Instructor Maynard Ladd '94, and Instructor Bremer W. Pond for the first term.

The following fellowships and scholarships were awarded for the year 1917-18: Ricardo Prize Scholarship to N. J. Siberling '14, in place of R. L. Wolf '15, resigned; Buckley Scholarship to G. E. Gayler 2M; Murphy Scholarships to C. Murphy 2L, M. E. Murphy 1L, and W. P. Murphy 2M.

The May Prizes of the Business School were awarded to J. W. Lerew 3 G. B. and W. B. Ricketts 3 G. B.
