Assignment of Quarters and Equipment Completed Yesterday.

The Cadet School, First Naval District, opened officially yesterday. Although the full quota of 150 men has not yet been made up, all those detailed so far have reported. The reason for the delay in the completion of the list is due to the fact that certain reservists have been unable to report for a special physical examination.

The officers of the School spent the day assigning quarters and equipment to the incoming men. Both Holyoke House and Dane Hall are fully ready for occupation. Lectures and classes will be held in a room in Harvard Hall, which the University has given up.

Captain Parker, who was in command of the Cadet School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has moved his offices to Dane Hall. He will direct the thirteen weeks' course and at the end of this time, he will recommend for Ensign's commissions those who complete the work successfully. The actual intensified instruction will begin this morning.
