FOOTBALL MEETING AT 7

CASEY MAY SPEAK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There will be a Freshman mass meeting in the Common Room of Smith Halls this evening at 7 o'clock. It will be a send-off for the 1921 team, which will go to Princeton tomorrow to prepare for the game on Saturday.

The speakers at this meeting will be D. J. Wallace '16, University centre for two years, and at present Freshman coach, H. H. Faxon '21, captain and tackle of the eleven and possibly E. L. Casey '19, University half-back. E. L. Bigelow '21, has been appointed to act as cheer leader.

The support accorded the team by the class thus far has not been strong, comparatively few men even attending the games. This meeting will be the last chance for members of 1921 to support the eleven as a body until the final game with Yale, and to make this support effective a large representation from the class should be present this evening.

Tomorrow afternoon, the members of the squad will go to Princeton. They will start by trolley, leaving the spur-track on Boylston street, behind Persis Smith Hall, at 2.10 o'clock. At this time, all Freshmen are asked to come and cheer the team as it leaves.

Sessions Named Freshman Manager.

John Archibald Sessions of Northampton has been appointed manager of the Freshman football team and Thomas Stilwell Lamont of Englewood, New Jersey, assistant manager. The following were appointed Second Assistant Managers: Henry Russell Atkinson of Brookline; Gardner Forster of Milton; and John Royce Meeker of New York City. These appointments are all subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee and the Student Council.
