The Harvard prize play for this season, "The Year of the Tiger," by K. L. Andrews 2G, will be produced for the first time at the Castle Square Theatre on April 23. "The Year of the Tiger" is based on the Japanese superstition according to which every eighth year is fraught with mystery and laden with evil. It was awarded last fall the prize of $500 offered annually by Mr. John Craig.
This is the sixth play to be produced under Mr. Craig's offer to stage the best play submitted each year by members of Professor Baker's course in dramatic composition. Mr. Craig is engaging a special company for the acting of the play.
