The Andover Theological and the University Divinity Schools are to dedicate a memorial tablet for Merrill Stanton Gaunt at the Andover Seminary Building on Francis Avenue next Tuesday at 3.30 o'clock. Gaunt received his degree from the Andover school in February of 1916, and immediately sailed for France to enter the American Ambulance Service. After a few weeks in this work he contracted spinal meningitis and died.
The tablet is dedicated by the friends of Gaunt, but especially those students who knew him while he was in Cambridge. Helen Jackson, a pupil of Bela Pratt, is the sculptor who designed the memorial. Admittance to the services will be by invitation.
