INTERSCHOLASTIC CROSS COUNTRY MEET OCT 30

MEN ARE GUESTS OF UNIVERSITY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Entry blanks have been sent out to the Greater Boston High Schools for a Harvard interscholastic cross-country run on Saturday, October 30. These blanks are to be returned before October 20, and may bear the names of ten men, eight of whom will be permitted to start.

It is planned to hold the contest on a two and one-half mile course in Cambridge, sketches and descriptions of which will be sent to the contestants. The run will be start at 1.30 P. M. and will finish in time to see the University Freshman cross-country run as well as the football game in the afternoon. The Athletic Association is inviting all entries to dine at the Smith Halls training table before the race, and to be guests of the University at the Harvard-University of Virginia game in the afternoon.

No Preparatory Schools Eligible

In order to make the competition as close and interesting as possible, Exeter, Andover and Worcester have been excluded. All the teams competing will thus have the some opportunity for training and keen rivalry is expected. The usual interscholastic requirements of attendance at school and of age will be observed.

The date set for the run is the same as that of the Andover-Worcester-Freshman triangular cross-country meet and the University-Cornell contest at Cornell.
