Captain Edwin P. Parker Jr. of the United States Field Artillery, has been assigned to the Harvard Field Artillery, R. O. T. C. unit, as an assistant instructor. Captain Parker, who was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the regular army from civil life in 1912, served for two years in Panama with Major Goetz.
During the first years of the war, he was appointed a professor in military science of the Ohio State University. In 1918 he was stationed at Camp Jackson and later he served in France as a temporary lieutenant-colonel of field artillery.
