As a result of the semi-final round of the Ames competition which was held recently, the George Gray Club of the Law School has been chosen to argue against the Scott Club of the school in the final round of the competition which will be held in the main center lecture room in Langdell Hall on January 14 at 8 P. M. The winning club will be awarded a prize of $200 or more and the runner-up at least $100.

In the semi-finals, the men, all third year law students, who represented the four competing clubs, were:-E. S. Pillsbury and R. T. Bushnell for the George Gray Club; J. M. Hatcher and F. T. Christy for the Parke Club; D. C. Swatland and F. A. Little for the Williston Club; and R. A. Catterall and W. E. McCurdy for the Scott Club. The George Gray Club defeated the Parke Club; the Scott Club defeated the Williston Club.

In the Law School, the Ames competition extends throughout the course. First year students are formed into clubs of eight whose members argue legal points with one another. In the second year, there is an inter-club elimination contest, reducing the number of competing clubs to four. Finally, in the third year, when the semi-final and final rounds are held, two representatives from each club argue the case in question before justices who decide upon the winner.
