Hotson Wins French Medal

Last night before one of the largest crowds that ever witnessed a France Amerique debate, John Leslie Hotson '21 gave the speech which won for him the first prize and the medal. W. B. Leach '22, by a sensational and forceful speech, was awarded Honorable Mention. The judges announced that they regretted that there were not more prizes, as the speeches were of unusual merit and deserved some reward. The judges were W. B. Snow, principal of the Boston English High School, Professor Albert Sauveur of the Department of Metallurgy, and Professor C. H. C. Wright, of the French Department at the University.
