JUNIOR CLASS RATIFIES CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

EXPENDITURES $277.09

By R. E. Larson

By a unanimous vote at their only smoker of the year, which was held last evening in the Union, the Junior class of 1921 adopted the amendments to the constitutions of the three lower classes proposed by the Student Council in regard to the elections of class officers. By these amendments, which require a vote of at least 60 percent of the members of the class to make an election valid, it is expected that in the future the often unrepresentative elections of the past will be eliminated. With the passing of this measure by the Juniors, the amendments become effective for all classes entering college hereafter, since the Freshmen and Sohomores have already voted favorably on the matter.

According to the report of the Class Treasurer, R. E. Larsen, the class now has on hand a balance of $745.09. This amount is somewhat smaller than in past years because of the depletion of the class by the war during the Freshman year.

The Junior Dance Committee was unusually successful this year in keeping the expenses of the festivities much below the expected outlay. The total receipts were $2427.01, while the expenses of the dance amounted to $2620.79. The deficit of $193.18 was made up from the class fund.

The report follows: Statement of Finances of the Class of Harvard 1921, May 13, 1920. RECEIPTS. Balance in bank, Nov., 1919  $1011.50 Interest,  10.87 Total,  $1022.37 EXPENDITURES.
