In the early stillness of 8.30 this morning, the Senior class will abandon the Yard for its long-awaited annual picnic. Those members of 1920, who, before July 1, 1919, knew the secret tradition of that important yearly event, are confronting one another with the anxious question: will that tradition be upheld today

The hip-pocket specifications of the overall costume insinuate a confident answer. As the menace of the great Drought grows with the passage of time, it is but reasonable to assume that the committee will bend every effort to make the 1920 feast a memorable one. This year may be the last to offer any semblance of former annual sprees.

The Office has granted leave of absence for the day. Food and merriment, there should be in plenty. And the rest of the college, mayhap slightly envious at today's potentialities, joins in wishing the Seniors as damp a picnic as the weather permits.
