Tonight at 7.30 o'clock, the University Glee Club will hold the first of a series of informal concerts on the steps of Widener to be given at least twice a week during the examination period. The University Band will also be present to lead general singing between the Glee Club's numbers.
These concerts are a new addition to the club's schedule and are intended to bring the student body into closer contact with the work of the organization. The selections will be of a lighter nature than the club's usual repertoire, and it is planned to have everyone present join in the singing. The club hopes in the future to arouse sufficient interest in choral singing to make possible class choruses and to hold interclass song contests similar to the interdormitory contests of the Freshman jubilees.
