Light Workout Today in Preparation for Race at Belmont Tomorrow University Team Picked

The University cross-country team will hold a dual race with Technology over the Belmont course on Saturday morning, October 28. As a result of the time trial held last Friday afternoon, H. S. Boyd '17 and G. H. Tilghman '19 have been taken on the training table.

The Freshman harriers will race the Providence Technology team over the Cemetery Course next Saturday morning October 21, at 10 o'clock.

The members of the track advisory committee have under consideration the appointment of a new Freshman cross-country coach to take the place of C. J. North '17, who was obliged to resign. Time trials will be held today at the Locker Building at 4.30 o'clock for members of the Freshman cross-country team.

This afternoon at 2.30 o'clock Harry Barwise of the Boston Athletic Association, and champion New England high jumper, will be at Soldiers' Field. He, together with E. H. Clark '95, will give the high jumpers especial attention. All entries for the for the fall handicap track meet close tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock, after which notices will be sent to all entrants of opportunities to take strength tests before the day of the meet. As there will be no interdormitory meet this fall, Freshman may complete in this meet. It is planned to have a three-mile run to the program for the members of the cross-country team.
