BASKET-BALL

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Today basket-ball at Harvard begins its second season under the new regime. Last season was not a victorious one, yet considering that it was the first team in twelve years, the showing was very creditable. It goes without saying that to build up an entirely new organization is no small task, but it is even harder to win undergraduate support. Substantial backing is given to hockey, to baseball, to crew--but "what is new is not valuable". Of course, it is only right to expect that the team should make a definite bid for our interest--undoubtedly it will; but while it is getting started, we might well meet it halfway. The schedule includes the first Harvard-Yale basket-ball game in nearly fifteen years--another chance to beat the Elis. The season as a whole will be much harder than last year so, as the cheer leaders say, "Make this a good one!"
