Football Lacks Material

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday's practice for the University football squad was considerably handicapped by the lack of regular players. Two tentative teams were lined up, however, and were given about fifteen minutes of scrimmaging.

Team A first took the offensive from the middle of the field and rushed the ball to team B's twenty-five yard-line. It was there held for three downs, but easily scored by a drop-kick. Team B was then given the ball on their opponents' forty yard-line, and gained twenty yards, chiefly by individual work in the backfield, before Team A intercepted a forward pass. The session ended with an exchange of punts.

The coaches were disappointed at the scarcity of material yesterday afternoon, and are very anxious that more men report on Monday, and report more regularly throughout the next week.
