MEET THIS EVENING TO DISCUSS SCHOOL CLUBS

Student Council to Hold Open Meeting At 7:15 in Union to Decide on Plans For Work--T. R. Thayer and T. S. Lamont Appointed Chairmen

This evening, at 7.15 o'clock, in the Quiet Room of the Union, the movement for the organization of school clubs which the Student Council set on foot a month ago will be definitely launched in an open meeting. T. R. Thayer '21 and T. S. Lamont '21 were appointed joint chairmen of a committee which will be formed at tonight's meeting.

Notices have been sent out to the presidents of all school clubs now organized in the University with a view to getting men who are interested in the work, and who have ideas on the subject to attend the meeting.

With the formation of a committee as its primary purpose, the meeting is also expected to produce definite propositions for the men to work on. Their task will be to bring organized school clubs into line for their work, and to form new organizations, possibly on a geographical basis, representing districts of the country, especially the south and west, which have at present very few or no such organizations.

The Student Council, at its meeting on of taking steps to combat not only misinformation of the schools concerning the University, but also a certain amount of misrepresentation which has been noticeable in the past. The meeting tonight is hoped to bring out workable suggestions for the committee to be guided by in combatting this evil without incurring the charge of propagandizing.

The meeting will be open to discussion to anyone who is interested, and Freshmen are especially urged to attend since they are nearest their schooldays and should have ideas on the subject. Men from the west and south also are requested to come since a great deal of the discussion will probably turn on means of reaching those parts of the country
