SKATING NEW '25 EXERCISE

New Ruling Allows Freshmen to Count Activity as Part of Physical Training Work--Sign Up for One Day Only

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Freshmen who wish to take advantage of the skating weather, but have been unable to do so on account of their required physical training, will be enabled to substitute skating for their regular athletic activity, under a new ruling of the Department of Physical Training made yesterday.

On account of the uncertain condition of the ice, skating has not been a recognized activity for Freshmen. Under the present arrangement, however, a Freshman may skate on any day when the ice is good, and will be excused from his regular exercise.

Beginning today, therefore, a sign will be displayed before the Freshman Athletic Building every day that a man may make use of the plan. Freshmen will skate at the float in front of Newell boat house, where a manager will be in charge every day except Saturday
