VIOLATIONS OF PARKING RULES REPORTED TO CITY AUTHORITIES

Students Have Been Disobeying Ordinance Which Prohibits Parking of Automobiles for More Than 20 Minutes

Complaints have been made to the city authorities about the parking of students' cars on the streets of Cambridge. Often a large number of cars are parked for an hour or more outside of buildings where large lecture courses are being held, seriously impeding traffic. There is a local ordinance which prohibits parking of automobiles unattended for more than 20 minutes on any public street or highway. The situation has become acute recently, especially in the narrow streets off Massachusetts avenue, and unless conditions are bettered, the city may take action against the offenders.

Parking of cars in the space near Warren House, the Varsity Club, and the Union is also considered dangerous due to the fire risk.
