Freshman Runners Make Especially Good Showing-Meet Marks Close of University Season-1926 Men Continue Until November 1

Particularly good times were made yesterday afternoon by Coach Farrell's Freshman runners in the track events of the annual fall handicap track and field meet.

Yesterday's meet marks the close of the season for University track men, but the Freshman season will continue until November 1.

The summary:

100-Yard Dash.-Won by G. E. Barker '25, 2yd.; second, J. H. Broome '26, scratch; third, G. W. Lupton 1L, 3yd. Time: 10 3-5s.

440-Yard Run.-Won by K. M. Rogers '26, scratch; second, S. S. Cairns '26, 13yd; third, Morison Blake '23, 10yd. Time: 55s.

880-Yard Run.-Won by W. S. Smith '23, 50yd.; second, R. G. Allen '26, scratch; third, A. F. Jones '25, 10yd. Time: 2m., 6s.

120-Yard Low Hurdles.-Won by A. McK Terhune '23, 5yd.; second, H. P. Thomas '25, scratch; third, S. M. Clarke '25, 3yd. Time: 14 2-5s.

One-Mile Run.-Won by J. N. Watters '26, scratch; second, J. W. Perkins '26, 50yd.; third, B. R. Cutcheon '25, scratch. Time: 4m., 40 4-5s.

Three-Mile Run, Scratch.-Won by J. W. Burke '25; second, W. L. Chapin Jr. '25; third, A. L. Coburn '24. Time: 16m., 21 2-5s.
