Professor Henri Pirenne will deliver the last of his series of lectures on "The Origin of Cities in Western Europe" this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in Emerson D. He will speak entirely in French.

In his previous lectures Professor Plrenne has discussed the growth of the "suburbis" or suburb around the walled towns and has explained how the growth of the merchant class effected the government of the cities. Today he will continue the history of the rise of the cities and will bring the account down to the present day problems.
