Announces Results of Quartette Trials--Forty Other Men Kept Provisionally--Further Trials in December

The University Glee Club announced yesterday that, as a result of the quartette trials held last week, 166 men have been definitely retained, and over 40 have been kept provisionally. These latter must take additional trials during the first part of December before they will be allowed to take part in concerts. Of the men who have been definitely retained, 55 are baritones, 51 second basses, 43 second tenors, 17 first tenors, four accompanists and one organist. Any men who were dropped at these trials, or who do not obtain a passing mark at the second trials in December, will have another opportunity to practice with the Club after the voice trials which will be held immediately following the midyear examinations.
