To say that the Fogg Museum has obtained more art treasures is to tell an old story. Every short while more masterpieces are brought in and their acquisition duly noted, perhaps without realization of the remarkably fine collection which the museum now possesses.

The most recent arrivals are twelve capitals of the Burgundian Romanesque style--all originals of great value. The three large figure capitals are said to be the finest in the world--even the Louvre possesses nothing better, and the Trocadero was obliged to be satisfied with taking plaster models of them before they left France. All of which only further illustrates the present influx of valuable works of art from Europe into America. But if they are bound to come here surely a college museum open to class-room work and to the public, is a better home for them than private galleries where they are shut off from the general view.
