The second CRIMSON news competition for Freshmen will open on Monday night, March 13, with a meeting of all candidates in Room 5 of the Crimson Building, and will last approximately 12 weeks. The work will consist mainly in collecting news, writing it up, and assisting in the office work. Besides this there will be opportunity for candidates to meet men of prominence in getting special articles and interviews, while their acquaintance with the activities and the leaders of activities in the University will be greatly increased. The work will be difficult and will require a reasonable amount of time but the opportunity for doing required studying will not be restricted.
The competition is based on the point system which gives approximately a point an inch for scoops and half as much for assignments.
