The University baseball team will be up against serious opposition this afternoon when it meets the Colgate nine at Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock. The visitors have an exceptional pitcher in Kinney and a strong substitute in Blame. The former held the hard-hitting Springfield nine scoreless until the final inning when the opponents three winning runs came in; while the latter pitched the Maroon to an 8-2 victory over West Point. Syracuse has also fallen to the strong Colgate nine by the overwhelming score of 15-5.

Steffer the visiting captain, is the greatest threat for the Crimson pitching staff, while Herman and J. Barnes have also done some heavy hitting. The infield is well trained and has but few errors in its box scores.
