The Annual Mid-Winter University Debate will be held with the University of Pittsburg at Pittsburg tomorrow evening. The team which will represent the University was selected after the final trials held yesterday, and will consist of the following men in their order of speaking: C. A. Zinn '25, H. P. Sharp '25, and R. S. Fanning '23: alternate, S. L. Tait '23.
The University team will debate on the negative side of the question, "Resolved: That the United States should enter into an immediate agreement with the former Allied Nations for the mutual cancellation of Interallied indebtedness."
The men who have been chosen for this debate have all had considerable experience in debating. R. S. Fanning '23, who participated in the debate with Oxford last fall, has represented the University in the last two triangular debates with Princeton and Yale. He is also the winner of the Coolidge Debating Prize and the Pasteur medal. H. P. Sharp '25 spoke last year in a Freshman debate against Buckley High School of New London, Conn., and C. A. Zinn '25 acted in the capacity of alternate at the debate with Oxford. S. L. Tait '23 spoke in his Freshman year against Princeton.
