Electrical Skill Wins Rising Sun

The Emperor of Japan has recently conferred the sixth class of the Imperial Order of the Rising Sun upon F. R. Lack, now a special student at the University. This honor was bestowed on Mr. Lack in recognition of his services as an International Western Electric engineer in connection with the installation of the first printing telegraph in Japan.

Mr. Lack joined the Western Electric Company in 1911 as an assembler and is now at Cambridge on leave of absence.
