1927 Soccer Team Wins

The 1927 soccer team opened its season Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field with a well-earned 3-0 victory over Tabor Academy, which lost two games to the 1926 eleven last year. All the scoring came in the first period when the Freshmen showed several flashes of power. Trevett at inside left and Goodhue at inside right both kicked goals during the first part of the half, and Trevett repeated his performance toward the end. Tabor made a strong attack in the second period but the excellent work of the backfield and Captain Gherardi on the right wing prevented a score.

Wednesday afternoon on Soldier's Field the Freshmen will meet the Andover eleven, which scored two victories over the 1926 team, 2-0 and 1-0.
