Dr. Fridtjof Nansen, Noted Explorer and Relief Worker, Will Describe Storm Centers of Europe

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The storm centers of Europe will again be discussed before members of the Union and their guests when Dr. Fridtjof Nansen, one time famous Arctic explorer and at present refugee relief worker, tells of his personal experiences in the troubled districts of Europe. Thursday afternoon, December 6, at 4 o'clock in the Living Room of the Union. On that evening, he will speak in Symphony Hall.

For his humanitarian work. Dr Nansen received this year the Nobel Peace Prize and he is without doubt one of the foremost figures among the active workers of the league of Nations. He is said to be an excellent speaker and to possess a perfect command of English.

Dr. Nansen's fame rests upon two exploits performed some 26 years apart. The first was his Arctic voyage which took him nearer to the Pole than any other explorer had penetrated up to that time. The second was his epoch making work under the League of Nations for the repatriation of prisoners of war and the relief of war refugees in the striken countries of Europe
