The campaign to raise a $350,000 fund for the Graduate School of Business Administration is well under way and two committees of prominent men have been appointed to undertake a drive in New York and Boston.

The New York committee, headed by Mr. Thomas W. Slocum '90 and Mr. Edwin F. Gay '18, is to raise $105,000 while the Boston men will get $150,000. The rest of the $350,000 will be raised by subscription outside these two cities.

With each letter asking for a donation, a pamphlet is being sent out describing the work of the business school, its past history, and its needs for the future.

The money raised in this campaign is to serve two purposes. First, the greater part is to be used in research work to gather material to allow the Business School to follow the "case method." Material for these cases is collected with the consent of the corporations from which it is drawn and is worked up into problem books. These publications have been adopted by 106 colleges and universities in this country, 'showing that the school is producing valuable business instruction.

The second object is to establish a Loan Fund of $350,000 from which students may borrow, upon an interest basis, to pay their tuition which is higher than that of any other department of the University.

The campaign has been under way for over a month and will probably close over a month and will probably close by the end of February.
