The Freshman matmen open their season this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Freshman Athletic Building, with the M. I. T. 1926 wrestlers as their opponents. Coach Judeon has picked the team as the result of trials in the past week, but since the meet this afternoon does not include a bout in the unlimited class, only six men will wrestle.
Carl Stearns, of the 125-pound class, elected captain of the team last Saturday, is likely to have a full time struggle with Cummings who is one of the visitors most promising candidates.
Since this is the first meet for both teams little is known of their relative strength.
The line-up:
115-1b. Class--R. J. Goldberg vs. Powers.
125-1b. Class--Carl Stearns (capt.) vs. Cammings.
135-1b. Class--H. P. Norman vs. Brum.
145-1b. Class--Leo Schwars vs. Lata (capt.)
153-1b. Class--D. J. Lyona vs. Jacobeon.
