TRACK TEAM LEAVES FOR I.C.A.A.A.A. GAMES AT 3 THIS AFTERNOON

ENTRIES IN HURDLES AND MILE EXPERIENCED

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University track team of 23 men will leave at 3 o'clock for the I. C. A. A. A. A. games tomorrow in New York, and will be accompanied by the assistant manager, A. C. Bickford '25, Coach Farell, and a rubber. Captain J. W. Burke '23, C. V. Chandler '23, and Coach Martin will leave at 1 o'clock, and W. I. Nichols '26 will act as advance manager. The team will stay at the Vanderbilt Hotel.

J. D. Martindale '24, entered in the pole vault, is the only addition made by Coach Martin upon the eve of the meet. In the past week Martindale has been making 11 ft. 6 in., on a level with D. d. Reidy Jr. '23, and it is because of this improvement that he was entered.

Entered in Mile and Relay

Captain J. W. Burke '23 is entered in the one mile relay and should star. He might also run the 880. L. K. Marshall 5E.S., in the 35 pound hammer throw, has been doing as well as Captain J. f. Brown '22, winner last year, did, and it a hoped he will place. C. A. C. Eastman '24 should place in the shot put, but hill of Princeton, who recently broke the world's record, is expected to win. Both Jefferson Fletcher '25, in the hurdles, and j. H. Sherburne '24, the only miler, have had experience in the Triangular Meet last Saturday.

The Freshman team for the medley relay, composed of J. C. McGlone, 440 yards. W. R. Chase, 220 yards, F. P. Kane, one mile, and R. G. Allen, one-half mile, will have the stiffest competition of the year, especially in the Penn State Freshman team, which Coach Martin had charge of last fall.

The meet this year will begin at 8 o'clock in the 22nd Regiment Armory, except in the case of the weight throws, which will be held in the afternoon in Squadron A Armory.
