CORNELL CREWS IN INITIAL WORK-OUT ON OPEN WATER

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

ITHACA, N. Y., March 23. The last ice that blocked the inlet adjoining Lake Cayuga broke up this morning, allowing the Cornell crews to practice on open water for the first time this season. Cornell is two weeks late getting on the water as compared with last year, but Coach Hoyle hopes to overcome this handicap by hard work in the next few weeks.

The Cornell eight will row against the University on May 26 at Cambridge in the second of the Crimson's three races.
