TWENTY-FIVE SURVIVE FINAL BASEBALL CUT

As a result of seven weeks of cage work and two weeks of outside practice, Coach Slattery has retained 25 players to form the baseball squad for the remainder of the season. The squad will be composed of the following: Bemis, Brown, Buell, Bullard, Burgess, Clark, Cordingley, Doherty, Gordon, Hammond, Herrmann, K. N. Hill, F. S. Hill, Jenkins, Keegan, Larrabee, Norris, Oakes, Owen, Ross, Samborski, Spalding, Thayer Toulmin and Young.

The fielders had no practice yesterday due to the wet grounds but the battery candidates were given a stiff workout in the cage. The pitching staff has been strengthened as Philip Spalding '25 is now eligible for the mound position. Spalding was the second string twirler on the 1925 Freshman team. E. C. Herrmann, the regular pitcher of last year's Freshman team, and E. L. Brown '24, last year's second team pitcher, are as yet ineligible due to studies.

Today the whole team will be given its first practice since returning from the South. The practice will also be the final preparation for the game with Bates College to be played at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon on Soldiers Field.
