The Yale fencing team defeated the University Saturday afternoon at New Haven 8-5, with the outcome of the contest in doubt until the last minute.
Captain Davenport and Huntington were the Yale stars, each winning two out of their three matches; while Roland Fleer '24 did well for the University, also winning two out of three matches. The match between Fleer and Davenport, which the former won by the slight margin of 7-5, was the most interesting and closely contested.
