PROSPECTS LOOK BRIGHT FOR BASEBALL THIS FALL

Wednesday Will See Many Veterans Out for First Practice--Captain Jenkins and Larrabee Will Not Report

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At 2.45 o'clock on Wednesday, Coach Slattery will call out candidates for the first fall baseball practice of the year. Although the squad will be greatly depleted, several veterans from last spring are expected to report. Both Grosvenor Bemis '24 and E. C. Herrmann '24 will be on hand to give the batters practice.

Coach Slattery expects to have difficulty finding catching material. E. C. Larrabee '24 underwent a serious operation this summer and will be unable to play at least until next spring. J. J. Maher '26, Freshman captain and catcher last year, is playing football. D. T. Allen '26, who played in the outfield for the Freshmen, has had some experience behind the bat, and looks like the most promising candidate for that position this fall.

Captain Jenkins is playing football and will be unable to report on Wednesday. His position at shortstop will be ably filled, however, by F. S. Hill '24, who received his letter last spring.
