NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Student Council last night after its regular meeting made public some of its plans for the year and the nominations for Junior and Sophomore class officers. The latter were made by the present officers of the classes of 1926 and 1927 and were approved by the Council.

Nominations for Junior class officers are as follows:

President

J. W. Adie of Chestnut Hill.

J. J. Maher of Bridgeport, Conn.

Vice-President

F. L. Barton of Boston.

A. H. Stafford of Newtonville.

Secretary-Treasurer

E. W. Marshall of Portland, Me.

W. I. Nichols of Wilton, Conn.

Nominations for Sophomore class officers are as follows:

President

Nathaniel Hamlen of Boston.

B. L. Kilgour of Cincinnati.

Vice-President

A. H. Miller of Dorchester.

E. C. Haggerty of Allston.

Secretary-Treasurer

F. V. Field of Lenox.

Austin Lamont of Englewood, N. J.

As in recent years the postal ballot will be used instead of the more antiquated method of voting in Sever Hall. One will be sent to every member of the classes concerned before the middle of next week.

Additional nominations may be made by handing in a petition with not less than 35 names attached, to Alden Briggs '25, Secretary of the Student Council, in Holworthy 16 before Saturday night at 6 o'clock.

The biggest undertaking that the Student Council has begun is the matter of student employment. The Council, believing that Harvard is unsympathetic to the man who is working his way through, appointed a Committee on Student Employment with B. F. Rice Bassett '25 as chairman. Bassett has made an extensive study of student employment at other Universities, especially at Yale. The Student Council hopes to effect some changes for the better in the matter.

It has been felt in the past that there has been a lack of courteousness in welcoming visiting teams to Cambridge. It has been decided to appoint a committee of one to cooperate with the managers in arranging for a welcome to the visiting teams.
