BURKE WINS COMPETITION FOR FOOTBALL MANAGERSHIP

John Randolph Burke '27, of Milton, has been appointed assistant manager of the football team, and Laurence Hayden Duggan '27, of New York City, assistant manager of the second team, after an eight week competition that ended with the game on Saturday.

Burke, in becoming assistant manager of the team, will automatically succeed to the managership in his Senior year. He prepared for college at St. Paul's School, and was the manager of the Freshman team last year. Duggan, who will become manager of the Second team, prepared at Exeter. These appointments are subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee.
