WINTER TRACK CARNIVAL TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY

The annual winter track carnival, the purpose of which is to discover new material, will be held Wednesday at Soldiers Field. A special feature of the meet will be a relay race between the CRIMSON, the Lampoon, and the Advocate, scheduled for 3 o'clock. The H.A.A. will award gold, silver, and bronze medals to the winners of each event.

Except for the novice events and the special relay races, the meet is open to all undergraduates who wish to compete. The novice races are open only to those who have never won a track medal in college. Blue-books have been posted at Leavitt and Peirce's, the Freshman dormitories, the Locker Building, and the H. A. A., and all men who wish to participate may sign up in one of these books as soon as possible.

The meet will open at 2.30 o'clock with the high jump, handicap; the shot-put, handicap; and the pole vault, handicap. The following events are scheduled starting at 3 o'clock: 40-yard dash, handicap; 40-yard dash, novice; CRIMSON, Lampoon, and Advocate relay race; pole vaulters and weight event men relay race; 300-yard run, handicap; 600-yard run, novice; 880-yard run, handicap; 45-yard hurdles, handicap; interclass relay race; and managers' relay race. The 35-pound weight throw, handicap, will take place at 4.30 o'clock.
